Honens Piano Competition for Amateurs
Three previous Pro-Am Champions - David Dixon, Lachlin McKinnon, and Thomas Yu - will compete in Honens’ first ever All-Stars Edition to find the pianist who is the best of the best. Help the Pro-Am pianists reach their goal to raise $10,000 each by making a personal or corporate pledge, or buying a ticket and cheering them on!
Honens Pro-Am is a friendly competition for accomplished amateur pianists who make their living in professions other than music performance. It’s “Pro-Am” because these amateurs play like pros! Each pianist performs a 15 to 20-minute recital and is evaluated by a panel of experts. This year’s jury features:

- Rune Bergmann Music Director, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra
- Krzysztof Jablonski, 1992 Honens Laureate
