The concert will feature the orchestra version premiere of Colleen Athparia’s Lament for the Lost Children, which was written in response to the horrific and shocking discovery of the “lost children” in Kamloops BC in 2021.
Also on the program: Vieuxtemps’ Violin Concerto No. 5, with the 2025 Frank Simpson Concerto Competition winner, Aedan Lowry, Dvorak’s Carnival Overture, and Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture.
