Emily Phernambucq and Augustine Yates | Saturday, May 9th, 2026

This program by the Phernambucq/Yates Duo (Emily Phernambucq, flute, & Augustine Yates, piano) aims to showcase music for flute and piano by female composers. The program features not only cornerstones of virtuosic flute repertoire, but also new discoveries in the flute literature including original works composed by Yates, whose deep understanding of Phernambucq’s playing has led to compositions that display both of their specialized artistry.
